A small resort town on the Cote d'Azur ... and the wide and long red carpet of Glory, on which hundreds of photojournalists pose for film star from around the world.

Cannes Film Festival can be called a symbol of peace. After all, his story did not begin at all in France, but in 1932 in Italy - Venice (where the International Film Festival is still held). But then politics intervened in art, and invitations to take part in the festival were given only to representatives of countries loyal to the fascist regimes. In 1939, outraged by the unjust decision of the jury that awarded the Venetian Golden Lion to German and Italian films, filmmakers from other countries petitioned the French government to organize a “free” festival. In the first year after the war, 1946, the first Festival international du film de Cannes. In 1954, the Golden Palm Branch became the symbol of the film festival. (Palmed'Or). Films that are shown at the Cannes Film Festival should not participate in other contests, they should be shot no more than a year before its start and not shown outside the country of the "author". The festival is closed to the "ordinary" audience, but its doors are wide open before movie stars, producers and other film-related professionals. Entering the red carpet of the film festival is an event even for world-class stars. To do this, they carefully choose outfits, accessories, hairstyles and makeup.
This year, the 67th Cannes Film Festival was held from May 14 to 25. Golden Palm Branch - the highest award - received a 5-hour film by the Turkish director Nuri Bilge Ceylan "Winter Hibernation". Grand prand was awarded to Italian director Alice Rorvaker for the film "Miracles." And of course, everyone is already aware that Andrei Zvyagintsev’s Russian film "Leviathan" received prize for best script.
