A set of baby clothes made of fabric with a funny printed pattern - pillowcases, a duvet cover - all this you can easily sew with your own hands according to our patterns and a detailed description of cutting and sewing.

Tip
Add to the kit a couple of sheets for which you do not need a special pattern or sewing instructions!

Pillowcase sizes: 80 x 80 cm
Duvet Cover Dimensions: 135 x 200 cm
You will need: cotton flannel 150 cm wide and long: 4.60 m into the cage, 1.75 m with a fine pattern; 20 flat buttons.
Recommended fabrics: cotton or mixed fabrics.
Allowances: for all sections of 1.5 cm
Cutting:
From flannel to cage:
a) a pillowcase 167.5 cm long (of which 7.5 cm is a valve for a fastener), in finished form 80 cm, width 80 cm
b) the bottom of the duvet cover is 202.5 cm long (of which 2.5 cm is the flap for the fastener) and 135 cm wide
c) 2 rim details 200 cm long and 15 cm wide
d) 2 rim details 135 cm long and 15 cm wide
f) fastener strap 135 cm long and 5 cm wide, 2.5 cm in finished form
From a flannel with a pattern:
f) the upper part of the duvet cover is 170 cm long and 105 cm wide.
Sewing:
Pillowcase:
■ Iron on short cuts of the pillowcase (1.5 cm) to iron on the wrong side. Then iron the short edges to the inside, 2.5 cm wide, and stitch. On one of the short edges, overcast 7 loops at 10 cm intervals.
■ Fold the pillowcase across, with its face inward, with the short edge without loops protruding beyond the edge with 2.5 cm loops. Chip off the side sections.Unscrew the valve on the pillowcase and pin it to the side cuts. Sew side cuts. Turn the pillowcase over, iron it and sew on the buttons.
Duvet Cover:
Corners of the envelope: For the oblique seam, fold the ends of one long and one short details of the rim with the sides facing, draw allowances for the seams 1.5 cm wide. On the inner cut of the rim, put a 15 cm length from the corner along the seam line and put a mark. Connect the mark with the diagonal to the top of the outer corner and lay a line along this line, and do not grind the allowances along the inner cut! Cut the oblique seam allowances (corners) to a width of 1.5 cm. Lay out the rim details flat, iron the seam allowances. In the same way, execute on the border the 3 remaining oblique seams.
■ Stitch the inner edge of the border to the top of the duvet cover around the perimeter. Iron seam allowances on the hem.
■ Fold in the clasp strap with one short part of the rim with the front sides and stitch it to its outer cut. The seam allowances of the seam and the allowance for the open longitudinal section of the part to iron on the bar. Fold the bar along in half, with the wrong side inward, to sweep and stitch close to the seam.
■ Iron the oversize along one of the short sections of the bottom of the duvet cover (1.5 cm) to the wrong side. Then iron this edge on the wrong side to a width of 2.5 cm and scribble. Overcast 13 stitches along the edge at 10 cm intervals.
■ Fold the upper and lower parts of the duvet cover face to face, leaving the bar for fastening protruding beyond the edge of the bottom of the duvet cover with loops. Chop the slices.Unscrew the clasp strap on the bottom of the duvet cover and pin it to the side cuts. Sew slices. Turn out the duvet cover, iron it and sew on the button placket.
Attention: fabric cutting plans are given with a fabric width of 150 cm
When cutting the flannel into a cage, lay the fabric in one layer. Pay attention to the rapport (drawing) of the cell!
