The winner of the competition for the best models of the spring-summer season 2014, sewn on BURDA patterns, was Victoria Repkina from the city of Novokuybyshevsk.
Victoria loves sewing since childhood. And how could it be otherwise if she was surrounded by real craftswomen! One grandmother, in addition to sewing and knitting, wove carpets, another embroidered incredible beauty napkins. Vika studied the basics of needlework with her grandmothers, and met BURDA magazine thanks to her aunt: coming to visit her, she copied technical drawings for models and then sewed outfits for dolls. The first "adult" product, made independently - a skirt with hand-crafted slices - is still stored in Vika's wardrobe. And still, sitting down at work, she prefers the old mechanical machine of the Podolsk plant, because she considers it a machine with a "soul." Vika’s works surprisingly combine fantasy and accurate calculation, not without reason she managed to graduate from an art school and then get the specialty of a civil engineer. But the craving for creativity still prevailed: Vika became interested in photography, and soon her hobby turned into a profession. During the photo shoot for our magazine, Vika managed to show herself from the best side and reveal the most unexpected images proposed by stylists. And most importantly - enjoy it!
