The picnic season can be considered open. We have put together a selection of workshops on different rugs that you can do with your own hands and take it well with you to nature.

1. The easiest flannel blanket

For the simplest plaid, only a flannel piece of the right size and scissors are required. Trim the edges evenly and pull out the threads to make a fringe - and you're done.

6. Plaid with leather handle

This plaid is simply a hemmed piece of fabric. Its trump card is a leather handle, for which it is convenient to carry it rolled up. The handle needs 2 leather strips, shorter and more authentic (of sufficient length so that you can put the handle on your shoulder). To understand where to sew the belts, fold the rug as you would wear it, and outline the places for sewing.

10. Homemade picnic blanket

The beauty of making a picnic blanket with your own hands is also that you can put on the fabric a picture or a pattern that you like. If you take, for example, acrylic in aerosol cans, a fabric dyed with such a paint will gain a lot of density and some waterproof properties (depending on the thickness of the paint layer and whether you cover it with the entire surface or partially). Here, for example, patches of fabric are protected by strips of adhesive tape, and then paint is applied.
