How to sew slippers with your own hands

Stylish slippers from bright velvet are suitable not only at home. You can take such a couple with you on trips; they are light and will not take up much space in a suitcase.

You will need:

velvet;

sewing threads;

felt;

latex milk and sponge rubber;

non-woven Style-Vil; deckovil I; flizofiks;

clothes pegs;

scissors;

tailor pins;

needle and thick thread for sewing;

ruler;

glue;

tape measure;

glue brush;

Pattern

Prepare the details of the pattern according to the images according to the size of your foot.


Felting wool slippers: master class


Step 1

Cut out the small sole from the dekovil without allowance, iron on the wrong side of the velvet and cut out the sole from velvet with a 2 cm allowance.

On the stock around the sole, lay stitches and pull them so that the stock rounds the sole out of the deckovil.

Step 2

Cut a large sole out of the deckovil and iron it on the wrong side of the velvet.

Cut out the sole from Style-Vil non-woven fabric and sweep it to the sole from the deckovil.

Step 3

On the stock around the sole, lay stitches and pull them so that the stock rounds the sole out of the deckovil.

On the sole, place marks for sewing on the upper part of the slipper with pins with plastic heads.


Home slippers with applique


Step 4

Cut the upper part of the slipper out of non-woven fabric with 2 cm allowances to the right and left, iron to the Style-Vil non-woven fabric and back to velvet.

From the velvet, cut the upper part of the slipper with allowances for upper and lower cuts of 2 cm.

Unscrew the velvet cut allowances around the part; a slipper made of non-woven fabric and non-woven Style-Vil on the wrong side and sew manually.

Step 5

Cut the upper part of the slipper out of velvet again with 2 cm allowances, iron the allowances on the wrong side and pin to the part from step 4.

Stitch the upper part of the slipper along the contour.

Step 6

Fold the big and small soles with the wrong sides and fasten with clothespins.

On the one side between the soles, insert the upper part of the slipper to a depth of 2 cm.

Stitch the soles, securing the upper part of the slipper, and leaving a hole in the seam for the upper part on the other side of the sole.


How to sew home slippers with your own hands


Step 7

Insert the slipper on the other side of the upper part into the hole to a depth of 2 cm and sew it tightly by hand.

Step 8

Cut a large sole out of felt and pin it from below. Sew the sole around the edge using thick threads with a scalloped seam.

Step 9

Apply latex milk to the sole or glue sponge rubber and allow to dry.

For the second sneaker, perform all actions in a mirror image.
