The loops of a knitted fabric are a good replacement for the canvas when embroidering with a cross, and it is easy and pleasant to embroider with thick knitting threads. Master class: how to sew and decorate a pillow from thick knitwear.
If you have an unnecessary sweater or a wide enough scarf, you can sew an unusual pillow out of them. Cross stitch made on the canvas with thick threads (yarn for knitting) looks interesting, but is done simply and quickly. You can use any simple pattern for embroidery. For embroidery, take a large knitting needle with a wide eye and a blunt end - in this case, a large plastic needle is used. Details from the fabric sewn from the inside strengthen the pillow and prevent it from deforming, and the synthetic winterizer - appear through the holes in the knitwear.

Step 1
Decide on the approximate size of the pillow and the scale of embroidery. You need to understand how many loops of knitted fabric along the length and width will make up the cross-stitch. It depends on the density and pattern of knitting (it is easiest to work with a cloth connected by front stitch, but an elastic band or other simple repeating pattern is also suitable). It is necessary that the cross turns out to be square, while all embroidery was placed on the front of the pillow. In the case of such material, do not use the embroidery frame, but try to embroider so as not to pull off the fabric: lay the stitches freely.

Step 2
From the fabric for the back of the pillow, cut out 2 squares equal to the size of the future pillow + allowances. Place the canvas with embroidery inside out. Place the fabric part on a knitted fabric with embroidery so that the embroidery is in the center and pin together with pins. A piece of fabric is needed to strengthen the knitted fabric.
